Common Spices

The following come from me googling recipes, choosing the top several results, and noting the most common spices. Salt, garlic, and onions came up a lot for all eight groupings, so I don't include them individually.

  • Shrimp Pasta: lemon juice, parsley, red pepper flakes,
  • Lentils: black pepper, cumin, lemon juice
  • Lentils & Shrimp: lemon juice, parsley, red pepper flakes
  • Black Beans: bay leaves, cilantro, cumin, red pepper flakes
  • Red Beans & Rice: bay leaf, black pepper, cayenne pepper, celery, parsley
  • Shrimp & Rice: black pepper, paprika, parsley, red pepper flakes
  • Catfish & Potatoes: black pepper, lemon juice, mustard, paprika, thyme
  • Tempeh (marinade): soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, lemon/lime juice
  • Mahi Mahi: butter, lemon juice, parsley
